Merry Christmas Dad!

And happy Thanksgiving too! I put this blog together for my gift of the heart for you for Christmas. I couldn’t keep it a secret any longer, so here is an early gift for you. Dad, everyone loves to see and hear about all that is going on in your life, especially those of us who live far away-so keep us updated now that you have your own blog!

And to your friends and family- here is a little summary of the Woolf’s past year. Ok, because it was a gift for my dad- I wrote it all, but I tried to write what he would say about everything so just imagine it coming from him.

I love you dad!

November

We got to spend Thanksgiving in southern Maryland where Rob, Christina, and Kale recently moved. Melissa, JD, and Jaden came down from New York too. I am grateful all of my family (except Scott of course) could be together. What a great holiday!

October

This month Donna got to visit Melissa, JD, and Jaden again in NY. She had a great time.

September

Scott has been in Peru serving a church mission for nearly a year. He has had many incredible experiences and adventures including training twice and becoming a district leader. Here are some pictures we got from him this month.

August

We made the very long drive up to Hillspring, Canada for a Woolf reunion. It was great to see family and spend some time in a place we visited often when I was a kid. It was definetly worth the drive. Look how beautiful it is there!

July

Melissa, JD, and Jaden came to visit us for a couple weeks. We are so spoiled- we got to have more baby time! Jaden was just learning to crawl- what a fun kid.

June

Donna, Stephanie, and Jamie all got to go to girls camp together this month. It was Jamie’s first year- she was lucky to have her sister and mom there with her. I was left at home alone but they all had a really great time.

May

Grandkid #2: Kale Thomas Watson was born May 16, here in Texas. He weighed 7 lbs. 12 oz. and was 21.5 inches long. We were lucky enough to have the Watsons come visit us for a few weeks when their baby was due. They stayed until Kale was 4 weeks old. We all loved having another baby in the house to hold, squeeze, and kiss all the time! Jamie and Rob sure loved swimming everyday too- they even got Kale to try it out!

April

Rob and Christina both graduated from BYU-Idaho in Mechanical Engineering on April 11. Christina was even eight and a half months pregnant! We are proud of them. Congratulations!

March

Melissa and Jaden came to visit for a few weeks and we just loved seeing them. We were all fighting over this adorable boy! We are definitely proud grandparents. Too bad JD couldn’t be here too.

February

Snow! Not too often here in Texas but we sure like it when it comes.

January

Grandkid #1: Jaden Kai Taylor was born Jan 15 in Brooklyn, NY. He weighed 6 lbs. 12.5 oz. and was 20 inches long. Donna flew out the day Jaden was born and a few days later I came and surprised Melissa and JD and Jaden. It was a great visit. What a cute grandson we have!

What a great year so far!
